Quick Kicks: Patriots-Rams will meet in London after all

Posted by escalavino on February 7, 2012 – 11:09 am

Wembley here we come … again.

The St. Louis Rams have reportedly come to an agreement with their city’s Convention and Visitors Commission (see earlier post last week) to allow the team to play a home game against the Patriots in London as scheduled. Ticket sales for the October 28 contest have resumed on the NFL’s United Kingdom-based website.

Last week, it appeared that the game was in jeopardy because of contractual issues the Rams had with the CVC with regard to the Edward Jones Dome, where they play their home games in St. Louis. However, it appears a deal has been struck and is on the verge of being made official. As a result, the Patriots and Rams will meet at historic Wembley Stadium this fall, as was announced a few weeks back, thereby continuing without interruption the string of NFL International Series games played there since the league resumed going to London on an annual basis in 2007.

I guess it is great that we are going to London this year, jet lag can be a B****! So I hope we have a buy week after and I really wish we were playing the N.Y. Giants and this time bury them in the Grid Iron. I do not believe in curses. I know the Patriots can beat the Giants, we just need to figure out the plan to do it. I hate to say it but in the fourth quarter when we were marching down the field slow and easy with short little passes and runs we were doing just fine actually we were doing GREAT! If we had kept doing that we would probably be World Champs instead of “those whose name cannot be said” at least in my house! We will be Champs again and Brady will be at the helm, just be patient my fellow PAT FANS! At least we are the AFC CHAMPS! #1PATS FAN in Colorado!

This is great news, since I’ve already bought my ticket. It would have been disappointing if the game would be cancelled or be without the Patriots.
